'Dismounted Close-Combat Trainer' (DCCT) is an electronic range where the cadets undertake the armed forces weapon of choice, the L85A2 (SA80) in pre-programmed scenarios. This allows the cadets to work together in a firing team whilst maintaining the strict rules applied to firing ranges. Under the guidance of RAF Regiment personnel, the cadets full shooting statistics can be easily analysed to improve his/her shooting ability. (Pictured Below)
Scuba Diving pool sessions to enable the cadets to achieve their 'Open Water' (PADI) qualification. Cadets undertake 5 two hour pool sessions and then continue onwards to the advanced level of working outside of the swimming pool environment. (Pictured Below)
Shooting the No 8 .22 Rifle at the 25m Indoor Range at 460 (Dunstable) Squadron, ATC.
Shooting the L98A1 (5.56mm) Rifle at the 25m Outdoor Ranges. RAF Chicksands, RAF Wittering and RAF Honington.
Shooting the L81A2 (7.62mm) Rifle at the 300m Outdoor Range at Thetford, Gallery Range and upto 800m at Barton Road near Bassingbourne Barracks.
